Aimim won the second seat in the city of Bharuch

Bharuch / Letter: Asaduddin Owaisa-LED All India Majlis-e-Itehad-Ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) won the election of 10 wards at Bharuch Municipality on Tuesday.
The chair has become a Congress fortress for the past four decades.
This is the second victory of the Aimim candidate in Bharuch.
During the city election in 2020, Fahim Sheikh had won from Ward 10.
The election was adjusted due to the death of Asthma Sheikh, who had won the Congress ticket from Ward 10 during last year’s election.
Aimim Sadikabi Shahnawaz Sheikh Won candidate with 1,809 votes, defeating the nearest rival Fatima Fazal Ahmed Patel of BJP with a margin of 1,409 votes.
Congress Congress Sayrabanu Soyeb Sheikh received 1,303 votes, while the AAM Candidate AAM ADMI Party (AAP) received only 180 ballots in supporting him.
Tej Pritsingh Sokhi, Congress Committee of President Bharuch City said, “The results are shocking for us because the ward always stands behind the Congress.
We will contract and work to strengthen the party.” Bharuch Municipality has 44 members who 31 after BJP, 10 Congress, two from Aimim and one independent.
Meanwhile, BJP maintains the Nikora seat from Bharuch Taluka Panchayat.
The election for the chair has fallen after the destruction of the elected member of Dharmistha Patel who died of Covid-19 years ago.
