Apple is a hosting virtual event today at 10 am Pacific, with wide rumors suggesting the event will be focused on a 14-inch MacBook Pro model that is redesigned with a faster version of the M1 chip, a brighter mini-LED display, and again.
According to the report by Macrumor, the third generation airpod is likely to be announced at the event too.
New airpods are rumored to display similar designs such as pro airpods, but without active noise cancellation, and they can improve sound quality and some other new features.
The report shows the third generation airpod has been produced and is ready to be launched, which increases the likelihood they will be announced during the Apple program next week.
Earlier this week, an account on the Chinese social media platform also claims that the third generation airpod will be announced at Apple Event next week.
Last month, the same account accurately revealed that Apple will announce the Ninth generation iPad at the September event.
This will be the first update with the airpod standard since the second generation airpod was released in March 2019.
The second generation airpod was priced at USD 159 with cable charging cases and at USD 199 with a wireless charging case.
Updates to pro airpods are not expected until next year.
