Pune: Deputy Minister of Chief Ajit Pawar on Saturday highlighted the difference between wine and liquor to fight the Country BJP campaign against the decision of the Maharashtra cabinet to allow shops and supermarkets more than 100 square meters stored on shelves.
“There is a real difference between wine and liquor.
This must be firmly impressed in the public,” said Deputy Minister of Chief.
He said the country had minimal wine users and was mostly exported to the state and other countries.
“The government is worried about the welfare of people in the state and there is no dangerous decision to be taken by it,” he said, urging party workers and allies to not be withdrawn by opposition criticism.
Deputy CM said even Madhya Pradesh, a country ruled by BJP, has decided to allow the sale of liquor in supermarkets.
“But, it was a decision taken by Madhya Pradesh CM and his cabinet, which was chosen by the people.
We can also fight BJP by quoting this example, but we don’t want to get into it,” said Pawar.
He said there was no question to turn the country into the purpose of liquor as expected by the opposition.
