Vadodara: City-based Parul University (PU) on Monday said that it took all the steps needed to ensure the safety and welfare of students from Afghanistan after the ongoing crisis there.
To ensure the health of students when uncertainty looks great in their home country, PU has provided psychologists and counselors.
“Faculty mentors are constantly involved to ensure that students continue to feel at home during their studies and assisted if necessary,” said an official.
“The currency scenario in Afghanistan concerns the population inside and abroad and especially students.
As a university, we will continue to play our role and ensure health, comfort, and safety of all our 25 students who are currently registered,” said President Public Works Dr.
Devanshu J Patel.
Of the 25 students have registered with him, 20 Afghan students have been accepted in PU are expected to walk to India.
But because of the ongoing chaos, immigration will only be possible after the Indian government issued a new standard operating procedure, the official said.
