Chennai: The number of cases of Covid-19 active in the city slowly decreases.
Official data shows that none of 15 zones have more than 200 active cases on Friday.
Exactly a week ago, Teynampet had 202 active cases, while overall the city recorded a decline in 13 active cases a week.
The number of active cases is now 0.3% of the historical Caseload, which is around 5.42 lakh cases.
Five of 15 zones have less than 100 active cases, with Manali having 23, the lowest.
Thiruvottiyur, Madhavaram, Royapuram and Shollingallur also have less than 100 active cases.
Kodambakkam and Teynampet have the most active case, 176, followed by Adyar with the case of 172 and Anna Nagar170.
The total derivative of the case fatality has added 1.54% considering the slowdown in the spread of the virus.
Thiru VI KA Nagar has the highest CFR, 2.03%, and the lowest shollingallur at 0.83%.
The official health bulletin data shows the continued level of test levels below 1%, with, on average, around 20,000 people tested every day.
However, considering the crowd during the ongoing festival season, Greater Chennai Corporation continues to issue advisors to commercial people and commercial companies that emphasize the need to follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
Citizens and companies will be fined if found without a mask, while very crowded shops will be followed up, the corporation has warned.
Resources in the corporation said they were preparing further relaxation, but said this would be decided at the highest level in the government.
Mass vaccination drives will continue on Sundays, while the corporation has begun to issue a link to order vaccine slots online.
