Lucknow: All schools and colleges in the state will now have Aarogya Vatika to make students aware of the importance of drug plants, Deputy Minister of the Chief Justice of Dinesh Sharma said on Saturday.
Sharma spoke on the Aarogya Vatika awareness campaign held by NBT Lucknow and PhD Chamber of Commerce (UP Chapter).
“Every household in our country has used plants with medicinal properties since centuries.
Some even worship them.
Even though the customs and use of these plants have been forgotten by many people, after Covid-19, people understand their importance again and have Start using it in their daily lives.
Our goal is to make students also understand this and start the Aarogya Vatika initiative at every school, “Sharma said.
Aarogya Vatika is a special health angle initiated by the Navbharat Times where herbs and plants with high medicinal value and the immunity amplifier will be planted in various city parks in various regions to make citizens realize about the health benefits of this plant available in our environment .
Speaking on that occasion, scientists at the Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture (CISH), REHMANKHERA, RA RAM highlights how people can plant plants at home through kitchen parks and garden terraces and how waste can be converted into compost.
Panelists throw light on the properties of various medicinal plants and how we can consume them in disease.
The Central Institute of Medicinal Plants and Aromatics (CIRS) Scientists Rajesh Verma said patients suffering from fever must consume ‘Kalmegh’ (Green Chiretta).
