Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has given the first dose of Covid vaccine to 100% of the population in the age group of 15-18 years, the first civil body to achieve this in the Mumbai Metropolitan region of Mumbai (MMR).
The achievement was achieved in a month.
Also, 8% in age groups have multiplied.
The drive began on January 3 in 206 schools opposite the city.
It was set to cover 73,373 people in the category.
NMMC officials said the entire population in the age group 15-18 would multiply in early March.
Meanwhile, 95% of adult populations have multiplied in Navi Mumbai.
In addition, 23,888 people have received prudential doses (third dose) on the date.
This took a total tally to 24.04 lakh vaccine doses.
More than 13.2 lakh people were vaccinated with the first dose, while 10.60 lakh doubled.
Among the third dose recipients, 5,265 health workers were immunized, in addition to 5,894 frontline workers.
