Palanpur: A 30-year-old man was killed and his two children were seriously injured after the explosion at his home in Kundla’s goal village in Aravalli District on Saturday Saturday Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Ramesh Raneja (30).
The injured included Princess Raneja Ayushi (8) and Santok (3).
Children, who are in critical condition, have been referred to the hospital at Ahmedabad.
Raneja Sangeeta’s wife (28) was not hurt after the explosion.
Deputy Inspector Police Bharat Basiya said that they suspected the explosion was caused by detonators at home.
“It seems that a detonator has exploded at home, although most commercial detonators are stable and safe to deal with, if in the hands of untrained people can prove dangerously,” said Basiya Toi.
“The forensic team is investigating this problem.
They have also called explosive specialists from Himmatnagar to achieve conclusions in connection with what caused an explosion,” Dysp added.
