MYSURU/BENGALURU: The discontent brewing between Mysuru deputy commissioner Rohini Sindhuri and town company (MCC) commissioner Shilpa Nag over Covid-19 direction came into the final on Thursday following the latter resigned by IAS, alleging”harassment” from the prior.
Even though Nag is a 2014-batch IAS officer, Sindhuri is out of the 2009 heap.
Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekar stated the authorities won’t take Nag’s resignation which he’d visit Mysuru on Friday to convince her to rethink her decision.
“Nag has performed great work.
I will speak to chief ministry BS Yediyurappa and main secretary about the matter,” he explained.
Chief secretary Ravi Kumar also is predicted to go to Mysuru on Friday to the topic, official sources said.
“Sindhuri is continually whining to higher-ups that no job has been done from the MCC.
There’s absolutely not any conducive environment to function in Mysuru…
I’m resigning in the Indian Administrative Service,” Nag said, sharing with a replica of a handwritten resignation letter that she has delivered to the secretary.
“I ask you to take the resignation and relieve from the ethical problem, pain and regret…” she wrote.
Nag alleged Sindhuri needed a grudge against her resented the compliments she had been obtaining for commanding Covid-19 in Mysuru town.
Sindhuri dismisses claimsSindhuri stated,”When an officer has a problem, she must make this to the notice of seniors.
Calling it harassment by means of a media conference can be uncalled for.” Sindhuri stated she’d requested the commissioner to trace Covid control version of rural Mysuru from town and start more Covid Care Centres.
Even the DC alleged the MCC didn’t start one CCC until lately which forced her to initiate open and measures 3 CCCs from town.
“This doesn’t constitute harassment,” she said.
The DC said that the commissioner has ceased attending Covid review meetings and has been submitting contradictory data on Covid deaths and cases.
“I’d ordered to replicate this,” she said, releasing a pair of letters written to the commissioner.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha had composed a letter to Somashekar, also delivered copies to the CM and primary secretary, looking for a probe to Sindhuri’s movement to shut down 16 personal CCCs.
JD(S) and Congress had alleged she’s underreporting Covid figures.
Sindhuri and Nag happen to be at loggerheads over Covid control for a while now and things came to a pass over the paying Rs 13 crore gathered in the corporate business under CSR.
Even though the DC promised that business is cornering the lion share of this finance along with Mysuru and sought particulars of their paying, the MCC commissioner denied the bill and published an 18-page media notice record the costs.
Police broke the lock of an MCC storeroom where substances purchased beneath the CSR funding and contributions from businesses were retained.
The final straw was shown to be a WhatsApp article on Thursday at some of this data department revealing almost 90 percent of the town regions from the zone.
Nag alleged it was a scheme to defame her and make panic among individuals.
