Chennai: After two mega vaccination drives last week, the weekly dose rose to 40 lakh and coverage for adults with the first dose of up to 75.75 percent from around 72 percent in the previous week.
Nearly 40 percent of adults in TN are now fully vaccinated against SARS COV2, the virus that causes Covid-19.
However, to cover all adults with the first dose in November-end, Mr.
have to vaccinate more than 1.4 crore people in the next eight days – at least 17 lakh a day.

Nearly 82 percent of Chennai adults have taken the first dose and 45 percent are fully vaccinated, he said.
More than 90 percent of people in Kancheepuram and Coimbatore have taken the first dose.
Vaccination coverage (first dose) is less than the average of 75 percent in at least 24 of 46 health units of TN.
Among senior citizens – among the vulnerable – only 52 percent have taken the first dose and 30 percent second dose.
On Monday, 67,031 people took vaccines in government vaccination centers.
This takes a dose calculation to 6.41 crore.
