Gurgaon: The city reported 896 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, down from 970 days earlier.
The last time Gurgaon had less than 800 cases on January 4, when 634 people had tested positive.
However, three patients died on Thursday.
The daily peposititivity level remains 13.3% on Thursday.
Between 9 and 28 January, the city’s position level is more than 20%.
Now there are 5,175 active cases in the city, 103 are in the hospital.
Gurgaon does 6,738 tests in the last 24 hours.
One of the three patients who died on Thursday was a 68-year-old man who suffered from a brain stroke.
The man who was fully vaccinated was hospitalized on January 31 with fever, coughing, and shortness of breath.
He was given liquids and antibiotics IV and also used ventilator support.
He was found as covid-positive at the hospital and suffered a heart attack on Thursday.
The second patient, a 69-year-old man who suffered from hypertension, brain stroke and diabetes was hospitalized on January 31 with chest pain and excessive sweating.
He tested Covid-positive and also suffered a heart attack on Thursday.
The third patient, a man who was fully vaccinated by 77 years, had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and hypertension.
He was hospitalized on February 2 with shortness of breath.
He was given iv liquid, antibiotics and given ventilator support and other supportive steps.
He was also tested positively and got a heart stop on Thursday.
The city has reported 44 Covid deaths until now in 2022 – one on January 10, another on January 12, two on January 14, respectively on January 15 and 16, two on January 17, 19, 20, three on January 21 , Two on January 22, one on January 23, two on January 24, one on January 26, respectively on January 27, 28, 29 and 30, two on January 31, two on February 1, four in February and three on February and three on February February 3.
Gurgaon has reported 971 Covid deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
In this case, 653 patients have comorbidity.
Virender’s additional medical officer Yadav said the city would likely witness a decrease in the level of participation next week.
“We will witness the level of participants down to 10% next week.
People need to take precautions because cold winter days can increase the spread of infection.
Everyone stepped out need to follow the Covid protocol,” he added.
Meanwhile, Haryana reported 3,148 new cases on Thursday with a test level of 9.35% test.
While Gurgaon registered the maximum number of new cases across the state, Faridabad was second with 277, followed by Sonipat (215) and Hisar (193).
At present, the state has 18,595 active patients, of which 17,446 are in house isolation.
