Kalaburagi / BELOGIVI: Serious District Administration to enforce a weekend curfew in Kalaburagi City.
The district has recorded 86 cases in the past week.
At the end of 2021, there were only three cases and had spurts in the first week of January.
Kalaburagi Dho Sharanabasappa Ganajalkhed told TOI that the Ministry of Health conducted 2,500 to 3,000 tests per day.
“On Tuesday, we were surprised when 28 people were tested positively.
And the next day the number 25, add to our worry,” he said.
He urged people to live in the room during the weekend and follow the corresponding behavior of Covid.
He also said those who had not taken a vaccine to immediately take it.
“There are now 86 active cases in the district.
Every day 5,000 to 6,000 students are vaccinated in schools and colleges every day,” he added.
