Rajkot: Aahaar Mahotsav – a three-day event where lip plate, prepared only using organic farming products, served – starting at Jawahar Ground in Bhavnagar City from Saturday.
This event was organized by Mithivirdi farmers.
This year is truly ‘farmers, by farmers.
“We do not allow traders to be involved in this year’s event,” said Bharat Jambucha, said a farmer leader.
“The purpose of this event is to create public awareness about agricultural activities, allowing farmers to interact directly with consumers.
We also want to notify farmers about the advantage of adopting organic farming.
This is an event that is regulated only by farmers,” Jambucha said.
Organizers say that people will get ‘desi’ food items such as bharta bug, rotla, shiro and pure mango juice regardless of organic ice cream and many more delicious food.
Food festivals began by farmers in 2017 after their protest caused a shift of nuclear power plants 6000 MW proposed from Mithivirdi.
