MySuru: The ambulance carrying a pregnant woman to a government hospital in Nanjangud, stranded in the middle of the road for almost an hour, after harvesting plants spread on the road by farmers, stuck on the wheel.
Happened on Wednesday morning in Tharadale, near Kudlapura Village.
The ambulance transported a pregnant woman from Tharadhale to a government hospital in Nanjangud, because the woman suffered from work pain.
The ambulance driver tried to drive on a millet straw pile, which was spread on the road, causing straw stuck to the wheels and vehicle axles, preventing the ambulance to move further.
The villagers who use the road, immediately rushed straw from the ambulance wheel, and it took almost an hour because the wheels were entangled in the straw.
The driver rushed to the hospital after that.
The villagers demand the government to build okkane facilities or remodel in all villages, so farmers are prevented from the spread of plants on the road.
A few days ago, a Maruti Omni van was broken hearted, after the driver tried to pass the straw millet, which was spread on the road in Hedathale Village in Nanjiud Taluk.
