Vadodara / Anand: After a gap of nearly three decades, Anand hosted the state-level badminton tournament under the Aegis Association of Badminton Gujarat.
Final of various tournament categories, organized by the Anand District Badminton Association and 7 Sports Academies, Anand, will be held on Saturday.
“It was after a very long gap that Anand hosted the state-level badminton tournament.
In all 187 players participated in the country’s ranking tournament where 360 matches were being played in the under 17 and under 19 category,” said Bhavin Patel, President of the Badminton Association Anand District.
“On Saturday, the ten final matches will be played.
This will include a single clash title and also doubled the category of boys and girls and the two mixed doubles,” he said.
The tournament starts at 5.
October “for the first time in the state, software to provide a real time score is being used for this tournament.
This software will be very helpful in other state-level badminton competitions too,” he said.
