TrueCaller with a Swedish center has partnered with a global Android smartphone maker to load applications on cellphones in certain markets.
This means that the TrueCaller application will be installed earlier on an Android phone from the factory.
However, consumers will be free to use their choice to use the application and there will be no guarantee of new active users from the start, the company said.
The list of countries where the application will be loaded earlier with new telephones including India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Latin America.
TrueCaller, however, does not reveal the name of the smartphone manufacturer whose device will come up with the application.
In a press release, TrueCaller said that he aims to cover 100 million new Android devices for the next two years.
“Truecaller is a agnostic platform and aims to work with as many smartphone makers as possible,” he added.
The company said that the latest steps in line with TrueCaller global ambitions to make applications are widely available, and also aim to make it easier to use for millions of new users.
TrueCaller has more than 220 million active users in India.
Over the past two years, application market penetration has grown from 35 percent to almost 50 percent.
The number of smartphone users in this country is more than 450 million.
TrueCaller said in a press release that this is expected to grow to more than 700 million smartphone users in the next three years.
