Berlin: Europe can only compete with Chinese awakening if talking to one voice, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Thursday, calling for more unity on the continent.
“How we handle China’s revival as the economic, political and military force depends on whether Europe really speaks with one voice,” said Merkel in Spain after receiving a prize Carlos V.
“Europe is only in my way,” he said.
