Vadodara: ‘Hello, help, help, send an email to smoke’ – Fake email with this text on behalf of the Deputy LAWICE MP University (VC) Professor Parimal Vyas has circulated in a university circle since Sunday.
Even when the university authority has approached the Cybercrime Department with a request to investigate, email has made a flatter enough because it is a second example where certain circles receive fake e-mails in the name Vyas.
“After that came to my notification, I have warned everyone through a social media platform that has a fake email in my name in circulation and they must remain vigilant,” Vyas Toi said.
University Authority said the VC email account has not been hacked, there is also no official contact data violations.
“Some miscreants have created a new email account that seems like VC.
Email received a lot in the university circle is not from the official email ID of VC.
So far, it can be traced to Nigeria,” said Dr.
Viral Kapadia, Deputy Director of the MSU Computer Center.
Interestingly, officials believe that it is the work of some people in all probabilities, someone from the Faculty of Art.
“Most of the recipients are teachers from the Faculty of Art and even timings send e-mail not uniform.
So, it looks like this is someone who tries to collect the teacher’s email ID and send an email to anyone he can,” Kapadia said.
