Vadodara: IJIBaught inmates of the zoo have been at the end of the reception of naughty little primate jokes, many things that are fun for visitors.
Nobody knows how small Macaque Rhesus migrates to the zoo, but the monkey is happy to adopt it as his home.
He seemed to have been well bound with wild animals there too, because there were no other species that looked very annoyed as he involves in and out of their cages.
“It was seen for the first time about two months ago.
Macaque initially spent time in the trees and then began to get around the zoo.
It jumped up and down in the annex of wild animals’ without fear,” said Pratyush Patankar, curator zoo.
It often looks monkeys around the leopard and teasing large cat.
“We tried to arrest him with the help of forest officials but our efforts were unsuccessful,” Patankar added.
The five-year-old Macaque also quarreled with primates stored at the cage of the zoo.
“We have 11 Rhesus apes in the attachment and this wild often fights especially with men’s monkeys,” Patankar said.
The fight is sometimes fierce and the zoo staff must intervene and drive it out.
It feeds fruits and any food is available inside and around the zoo.
These monkeys are usually not seen in vadodara urban areas dominated by Langoors.
Smart primates, Rhesus apes usually live in groups.
“But we have complaints from the airport authority some time ago that some Rhesus apes cleared on the runway,” Patankar said.
Rhesus trains usually feed fruits, roots, herbs but in urban areas it also devoures any food available.
