Noida: Construction from the first stage of Aqua Line extension towards Greater Noida (West) is likely to begin this year itself.
Detailed project reports revised from five stations on the route have been approved by the state government.
Now it has been sent to the last nod center.
Officials at Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) expect central approval at the end of November.
It will open the way for construction to start in December.
Three companies have shown interest in recent floating technical offers.
One of them – M / S GR Infraprojects Limited, M / S Sam (India) Builtwell Private Limited and M / S Ashoka Buildcon Limited – will be selected after the project is approved by the Government Government.
“The civil tender has floated and the technical evaluation is almost complete.
Only the remaining financial offers.
We can start construction immediately after the approval comes,” said Manoj Vajpayee, General Manager (Technical) in NMRC.
The DPR’s extension from Aqua Line to Greater Noida (West) must be revised after the center asks questions on the previous one.
“We have revised it and sent it to the center again.
The state government has agreed,” said a NMRC spokesman.
He added that the center had been asked to speed up the approval process so that construction could begin earlier.
15km aqua line extension is being built at a 1,100 crore Rs cost.
It will have a total of nine stations, all of which will increase.
These stations will branch out of the existing sector 51.
The route will take METRO connectivity to developing areas that have seen significant increases in the population in recent years because thousands of flats raise various litigation are being delivered now.
Metro connectivity is very important because public transportation here is rare and residents must depend on private cars to move.
Five stations in the first phase are sector 122, 123, Greater Noida 4 sector, Ecotech 12 and Noida Greater sector 2.
Although the DPR has projected 50,000 footsteps, officials have asked questions on the image.
The Aqua Line route currently sees 12,000 passengers on average every day.
NMRC, meanwhile, it will also work on another extension from Aqua Line – towards the Bodaki.
It will only have three stations after the depot and will cover another 6KM.
Officials said this extension was also approved by the Big Noida Authority Board and sent to the Country Cabinet for approval.
However, the DPR for the new Metro Line from Sector 142 to the botanical garden still needs a nod.
