Kolkata: The day before the reopening of elementary and upper schools over West Bengal, the government-sponsored school here is cleaned and disinfected to welcome students in a safe environment in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Principal of Andrew, Kolkata, Supriya Mitra said, “We have cleaned the classroom and will ensure that the Covid protocol is followed at the school.”

To ensure social distance followed, one part of the class will be divided into two parts three, the principal said.
“For example, class 5 has part a and b, then part A will be divided into two groups and also in part B.
So, one day, two parts of class 5 A will come to school and the second one, two grade 5 groups , “said the principal.
He further said that children have been directed to carry their own Tiffin boxes, bottled water, spoons and other ingredients to avoid contact with other children.
“At present, we have decided to miss the game period when students tend to mix.
We cannot tell them to play games without touching other people.
It’s not only worth it.
In the game period, we will take a class of PT while maintaining social distance.,” Principal said.
He also said that parents have been advised to inform the symptoms that their children might have.
The main and upper primary school in West Bengal reopened almost after two years.
Meanwhile, students from class 8 to 12 have attended physical classes in the state.
