ASI Team to Take Stock Lingaraj, Koneark Redevpt

Bhubaneswar: A team of the Indian Archaeological Survey (ASI) is scheduled to visit the city immediately to take stock of design plans and rebuild the surrounding area at the Lingaraj temple here and Sun Temple in Konark.
“Because breast milk is a custodian of both monuments, the permit is needed before taking back development activities.
After the approval, we will complete the tender process for both projects,” said the Senior Department of State Department official.
Even though the planned trip of the ASI team’s visit was not finished, the official said it was here a week.
The state government has taken rebuilding working around the Lingaraj temple under the Ekamra Kshetra facility and a revival’s action plan (Ekamra).
About 66 hectares around the 11th century Temple in the Ekamra Kshetra (old city) in the city will be transformed as part of the initiative.
The rebuilding plan included the construction of an extraordinary entrance to the temple, the recovery of Lake Bindu Sagar and other closest water bodies that have historical significance, adequate parking development, Lingaraj heritage projects, the development of the Kedar Gouri Temple and Mukteswar.
Interpretation center inheritance and e-auto programs are also part of the project.
Officials said the state government had planned to spend around RS 700 Crore for this project and changed the theater open to show off rich Odisha art and culture.
Odisha bridge and Construction Corporation, under the State Work Department, has been assigned the responsibility of both projects.
