Guwahati: Two trains with Vistadome services are marked by the Head of Assam Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma and the Minister of State for the Train Darshana Jardosh at Guwahati Railway Station and Chief Minister Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khanda at Naharlagun Station on Sunday.
Two new Vistadome trains will run between Guwahati and Naharlagun and Naharlagun and Tinsukia.
“The train has also decided to extend vistadome services that exist between Guwahati and Haflong just until the stalls to become tourists,” said NF Railway CPRO Guneet Kaur in a statement.
According to an official statement, the regular service of Naharlagun-Guwahati-Naharlagun Shatabdi Express with coach Vistadome will continue from December 20.
This train will run on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from NaharLagun at 6.45 in the morning and every Monday, Thursday and Sunday from Guwahati at 1:45 a.m.
covers a distance of 343 km.
Regular services from Tinsukia-Naharlagun-Tinsukia Vistadome Express will start from December 21 and run from Tinsukia every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and from Naharlagun every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
The train will depart from Tinsukia at 4pm and Naharlagun at 5:30 a.m.
covers a distance of 225 km.
Guwahati-New Haflongati Vistadome, which is now going to run until the stakeholder from December 22 and will leave Guwahati at 6.45 in the morning and leave the freight at 3:15 a night covering a distance of 341 km.
With the addition of two other Vistadome trains, there are now three such services in the excluded area to change trade and tourism in the northeast through train connectivity and promote regional cultural heritage, added CPRO.
Vistadome coaches are equipped with advanced glass windows and all glass roofs to provide views of open sky, mountains, tunnels, bridges, hills, tea gardens and fertile green forests to tourists.
It will also have an observation lounge for sightseeing, CPRO states.
