Guwahati: Chairman of Himanta Minister Bustwa Sarma distributed RS 4 Lakh deposits (FDS) to each of the 1,105 former National Democratic cadres Boroland (NDFB) which is included in different factions that concluded violence and joined the government peace initiative.
Sarma also announced at a government ceremony in Tamulpur in the Bodoland territorial area on Sunday that the home department has been directed to withdraw all 427 cases submitted to former Bodo guerrillas who come to the mainstream.
“During the BODO movement, a total of 427 cases are registered with NDFB cadres.
From here, we have decided to attract 274 cases and I have clearly directed the House Department to pull the rest of the case.
