Guwahati: After almost two years, students of grade 1 to 8 and 11th grade returned to their school because all government and private institutions in Assam were reopened on Tuesday.
Officials Department of Education and Health said that specific precautions according to standard operating procedures was being followed at school to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

The Ministry of Education’s command says that the classes with physical presence will be held for three days a week for all classes from 1 to 8 while from grade 9 and so on, teaching will be every day.
The previous state government set criteria about reopening the physical class based on the basic situation of Covid infection.
“If the covid infection level is still above two percent on certain days in certain areas, educational institutions in the area will be closed to the level of participants running under two percent.
There should not be more than 30 students.
Parts are permitted to attend physical classes and Head of the institution will assess the number of parts needed and open more parts, if needed, “he said in order.
The order said that if there was a positive case Covid-19 reported in certain schools, school authorities must notify the closest health and district authorities and classes at the school will continue only after testing all students, teachers and staff.
Previously, the class for higher education continued across the country.
The physical class continued for the top part, six months after being opened briefly in April this year but once again stopped after the second wave of pandemic struck.
