Guwahati: The MLA Congress of the Constituency of Baghbar Assam Sherman Ali Ahmed, who was arrested by the police on Saturday night for his disrespectful statement against the Martyr of the Anti-Foreign Anti-Foreign Movement (1979-1985), had been ordered by the ministerial weaving cells.
(SVC) on Wednesday in connection with the case of “misuse of government funds”.
“Today (Wednesday) he has been arrested in the case of nesting with vigilance.
We told him about his arrest at the Panbazar Police Station.
We will look for his rights,” said SVC supervisor from Police Rosie Kalita.
SVC has arrested six people on June 29, including three of the government officials, on charges of misuse of funds, more than RS 25 Lakh, intended for road construction under the Mandia Development Block in Barpeta Regency.
A total of RS 65 lakh has been released for road construction under 14 million MLA Regional Development Schemes in 2017-18.
Of the numbers mentioned above, the defendant allegedly sucked RS 25.08,323 without carrying out the work.
The defendant is Yusufur Rahman (Deputy CEO, Zilla Parishad, Mangaldai), Jadav Choudhury (then blocks the development of officers, Mandia Development Blocks), Ainur Rahman (Junior Engineer, Mandia Development Block) and 3 members of the Mandia Development Block Committee – Abdur Rezzak, Mujahidur Rahman and Sahjamal Ali.
