Dibrugarh: Indian Oil Security Personnel Limited intercepted a tanker used by criminals to steal crude oil from Hukanpukhri in Tinsukia Regency on Thursday night.
Tanker was seen using drone supervision.
Security personnel also prevent criminals to install pointing tapping for theft of crude oil in Nagajan-Khelmati Chariai in the district, said a statement of oil.
The company recently prepared drone supervision for oil and gas installations and gases in Assam to curb theft of crude oil, condensate and pipeline, damaging the well head and knocking on the pipe of crude oil delivery.
The Drone Supervision Project also aims to curb illegal activities by enabling real-time detection of intruders, faster detection of fire incidents, crude oil leaks and spills helping oil to take fast action.
