Ahmedabad: After more than five months, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the city crosses 1,000, reaching 1,088 on Thursday.
Because Gujarat has 2,371 active cases, more than four of every 10 active cases in this country come from city.
The city test level (TPR) also touched 3%, because 269 cases were found in 8,887 tests for the last 24 hours – or three of every 100 positive returned tests.
The number is the highest among urban areas and almost four times higher than the state figure of 0.8%.
Compared to 265 new cases on Wednesday, the city recorded a slight increase in 269, but contributed 47% of the country’s daily cases.
Ahmedabad Hospital Statistics Hospital and Nursing (AHNA) revealed that the number of inpatients had multiplied in seven days, from December 7 to December 17 on December 30.
Of these, eight ICUs or on the ventilator.
Overall, the city has less than 30 patients treated in hospitals, showing that the majority of patients do not require oxygen or intensive care.
Other cases include 74 from Kota Surat, 41 of the city of Vadodara, 18 from Rajkot, 16 of the city of Gandhinagar, 16 of Kutch, 15 of Valsad, 14 of Anand, and 10 of the city of Bhavnagar and Rajkot.
All eight city companies and 21 of 33 districts in Gujarat noted at least one case in the last 24 hours.
Now, only four districts that have zero active cases, said the State Ministry of Removal.
Gujarat in this 24 hour vaccinated 2.32 lakh people, with a total number of doses given to 8.92 crores.
