At 259, the Dist saw a surge in Covid cases, the highest since mid-July

Coimbatore: The number of Daily Covid cases has multiplied two in the district in 24 hours by recording 259 positive cases on Wednesday.
This is also the highest since mid-July last year.
The district recorded three Covid deaths that day.
The number of active cases also increased to 1,089 on Wednesday from 899 on Tuesday.
