Coimbatore: At least 3,786 people were tested positive for Covid-19 in the district on Monday, even when the test level of the test reached 28.1%, the highest in the state.
Active cases in this district have jumped to 24,792 too.
While the district has recorded 2,91,412 cases of Covid-19 so far, 2,64,074 of them, including 2,142 patients returned from various treatment centers that day, have recovered.
The district also recorded Covid’s death that day, took the victim to 2,546.
The deceased was a 80-year-old man who was hospitalized on January 19 with fever and cough.
He tested the positive virus on January 20 and died on January 22 without responding to treatment.
The official health said the test level of the test was the cause of worries.
