New Delhi: At least two police personnel were killed and 12 were injured when Pakistani-based Jail-E-Muhammed terrorists opened fire on their bus in Srinagar on Monday between injured police personnel, ASI and the electoral class who gave up on their injury, the police said Zone said Kashmir.
The injured police personnel have rushed to various hospitals and their conditions are now stable.
“The Kashmir Jem tiger has claimed responsibility.
We monitor the situation,” said J & K Vijay Kumar.
The incident occurred in the Pantha Chowk Srinagar area.
This area has been corrected and search operations are launched to track attackers, officials said.
PM Narendra Modi has searched for details about terror attacks and expressed condolences to the families of security personnel who have been martyrful, said PMO in a statement.
Very condemning “cowardly terrorist attacks”, Governor Jammu & Kashmir LT Sinha paid his respect for the Martyr police personnel.
“We are committed to ensuring that the perpetrators are punished.
My heart’s condolences to the grieving family,” he said.
He added that the authorities concerned had been directed to provide the best care for those who were injured in the attack.
“I pray for their quick recovery.
Our police and security forces are determined to neutralize the evil power of terrorism,” he said.
