Chandigarh: At the end of the year, all three top posts in PGI will be empty – that Director, Medical Supervisors and Dean Research.
It will after 25 years after a new medical supervisor will occupy an empty post after the selection process.
“There will be changes in the guard at the top level.
For several months to the election, the accusation will be given to the lead faculty members,” said an official at PGI.
Prof.
Jagat RAM will complete his five-year term as PGI Director on October 31.
Medical supervisor Prof.
Anil Gupta will complete 25 years at the post in November.
“Prof.
Gupta has been the longest medical supervisor.
The recruitment process will be on the faculty recruitment path supported by institutional bodies chaired by the Minister of Health and family welfare,” said a faculty member.
The medical supervisor also held a Dean research post after Prof.
Gurpreet Singh had retired recently.
“This is the top administration post that decides to run a hospital,” said Faculty Member.
He said, “Although it can take between four and six months for the selection of directors, the medical supervisory post might fill up after about three months, depending on the schedule of the leadership.” Some faculty members feel until the new administrator is not chosen, there may be some things that are not interested in the system.
“There is the administrative deputy director who handles administration, but he does not have the strength of the director for the appointment and other critical decisions,” said a faculty member.
