Lucknow: Two institutions from Uttar Pradesh have succeeded in reaching a list of 10 top technical institutions that are funded centrally under the institutional rating on the performance of innovation (Aria).
While Iit-Kanpur has pocketed fourth place, the National Institute of Technology Nehru Motilal (MNNIT), Prayagraj, secured the 10th place.
Among other centralized institutions, the Muslim University of Aligarh (AMU) managed to reach the ‘Very Good’ category while the University of Bhimrao Ambedkar Babasaheb (Lucknow), University of Banaras Hindu (Varanasi) and Institute of Information Technology India (Prayagraj) found a place in ‘ Players’ categories.

Ariaia is critically evaluating institutions in parameters such as patent archiving and grants, number of registered students and faculty startups, generation of funds with incubated start-ups, special infrastructure created by the institution to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
