ATS NABS Two in 2006 the case of a terror conspiracy

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Troops (ATS) on Thursday arrested a Defendant desired in ‘Case of Conspiracy Jihad’ 2006 along with other people from the Lonamu Union and Kashmir region, said a senior official.
Bilal Ahmed Dar, who was on an escape for 15 years after a bomb blast at Kalapur train station in Ahmedabad in 2006, was arrested by the ATS team from the Baramulla District, said Director General Gujarat Ashish Bhatia.
ATS also arrested Hussain Ali Dar, a resident of Anantnag who allegedly sent 108 kg of Charas to Gujarat before 2009 and allegedly used money to fund anti-India activities.
The two defendants were brought here, DGP added.
An explosion at Kalupur train station, Ahmedabad’s main station, in February 2006 left several injured people even though no one was killed.
“Investigations revealed that two people from Kashmir – Aslam and Bashir – incited some young people who studied at Bharuch-based madrasas by showing them post-godhra violence videos and washing their brains to spread terror in the country as revenge,” said Bhatia Journalist .
Bilal Dar was studying at this madrasa in 2006, he added.
Furthermore, cases of conspiracy and separate decking under the Criminal Code and the relevant provisions of the Law Act violated the law (prevention) registered against all the defendants who are part of the conspiracy, Bhatia said.
“Bilal joined (Pakistani-based terror group) Lashkar-e-Taiba after meeting Aslam and Bashir.

Nine people have been arrested in connection with this conspiracy before, he said.
Aslam is currently nested in jail in Jammu and Kashmir in another case, while Bashir was killed in a meeting at J & K in 2016, DGP said.
Regarding the arrest of Hussain Ali Dar, a release of ATS said it had arrested one Shankar Prasad with 10 kg Charas in Gujarat in 2009.
Seven more people were arrested in this case.
Some of them claimed that Hussain Ali Dar, the main supplier, previously sent 108 kg of Charas to Gujarat.
Allegedly he used money from smuggling to fund anti-India activities, the release said.
