Visakhapatnam: Andhra University has launched intellectual property rights (IPR) as a compulsory credit course for all third semester students of MSC in their science colleges.
About 1,200 students from the AU College of Science and Technology have registered for courses.
According to university officials, courses have been launched under ‘schemes for pedagogy and research at IPR for holistic education and academics’ (spiha).

PVGD Prasad Reddy said this was the first time in India that a state university had introduced a mandatory credit course in IPR for more than 1,200 second grade students.
