Austrian Informs police he Murdered a Person to Enter prison

BERLIN: Authorities in Austria state a 29-year-old man detained on suspicion of stabbing another person to death told officers he’d intended the killing for months so as to be imprisoned.
Innsbruck authorities said Tuesday the defendant, an Austrian citizen, who had walked right into a police station Monday at the town of Kufstein, close to the border, also asserted responsibility for the killing.
The guy, whose name was not released, told officers he wished to become imprisoned because he had been unhappy with his lifestyle.
Authorities said the man seemed to have chosen his victim, enticed him in an ambush, and murdered him.
“There wasn’t any possibility the victim might have lived,” authorities said in a declaration.
Austrian broadcaster ORF said the sufferer has not yet been recognized.
