Dharwad: Transport Minister B Sriramulu has stated that the Department of Transportation will soon introduce automatic driving testing, vehicle inspection and certification centers in all districts.
Inauguration of automatic driving testing, vehicle inspection and certification center in Rayapur in Dharwad on Saturday, he said there was an urgent need for these centers to improve driving testing and vehicle certification processes.
“The technology applied in these centers has been arranged for maintaining 30 parameters.
New technology has been installed even for vehicle fitness,” he said.
Sriramulu said the minister’s chairman had supported the transportation department projects and helped the department of getting funds.
The number of Rs 2,500 Crores has been subject to sanctions to the employee’s salary department, he said and added that the state road transportation employees were suspended for participating in the strike was restored.
Sriramulu said serious thoughts had been given to replace diesel with electric and CNG buses (compressed natural gas).
This center was asked to help the department buy a bus like that, he said.
