MySuru: Rangayana, who hosted Bahuroopi – Annual Winter National Theater Festival In mid-January, was on the news for all the wrong reasons when the Revertory Theater Director Addanda CariaPpà and theater activists were in the loggerheads through inviting BJP Malavika Avinash and Chakravarthy Sulibele .
While the snowballed problem became a big line, Rangayana was forced to delay Bahuroopi because of the Omicron crisis.
Now Rangayana has rescheduled Fest for the second week of February by renouncing the name as Bahuroopi Rashtriya Rangotsava as a substitute for Bahuroopi Rashtriya Natakotsava.
The series of protests held by various theater organizations and writers failed to make any impact because Rangayana did not drop the duo from the invitation list.
However, to avoid further controversy about this problem, Rangayana has invited Chakravarthy Sulibele not as a social worker but as a thinker and orator for the Valedictory of the Festival.
