Bhubaneswar: The police coming on Friday transferred Inspector-in-Fees (IIC) from the Tamando Police Station and suspended Secretary of the Association of Bhubaneswar Constables for allegedly allowing the bar to operate outside the expiration period in the Patrapada region.
Duo has been identified as Pramod Pattnik and Prasanna Behera.
Alleged their collusion with a non-licensed bar appeared in front during an inquiry of anurag das murder case, son of senior journalist Navin Das.
Manish and some of his friends had attended a party at the bar without permission on October 9th night.
Manish body was found in the pool, about 2 km from the bar, the next day.
The police said Behera, Secretary of the Association of City Constables, had run the bar in the name of her brother Niranjan even after the license ended on September 30.
Not only the bar is illegally run, but also used to serve liquor well.

Tamando police and local excise officials allegedly closed the eyes for it.
“During the investigation, we learned that the bar was operated illegally because he had not paid a monthly fee to the excise department after the end of the license.
Behera has taken the rental bar in the name of his brother.
He has been suspended for dirty violations and dereltioning tasks.
The bar has been sealed,” said Deputy Commissioner Uma Police Shankar Dash.
IIC Pattnik Tamando Police Station has been transferred to the DCP office.
His role came under the scanner because the bar was operated in his jurisdiction for a long time, DCP added.
The police have held back the Behera police and the owner of the Bar Pradyumna Jena to be questioned.
They face an immediate arrest and is likely to be produced in court on Saturday, police said.
On October 16, the police arrested Amrit Pritam Balis, Dinesh Mohapatra and Mrutyunjay Mishra, because of their alleged involvement in the Manish murder.
They allegedly killed him after a fight for food and drink bills and threw away to the nearest pool.
