Bhubaneswar: The train Ministry has agreed to the principle approval to take pre-investment activities for the Bargarh Road-Nawapara line project (NUTADA).
This 142 km project will connect Nrusinghanath temples and other important places from the Bargarh district.
The Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Limited (Oridl), a joint venture of the Odisha Government (51%), and the train Ministry (49%), has asked the Indian train to process project proposals.
The railroad board, in a letter to the Oridl issued on Friday, said, “The Oridl proposal has been examined by the train ministry and competent authority has given the principle approval to take pre-investment activities for this project.” The Board also said the land costs must be fully borne by the state government and the implementation of the project should not be started without financial closure.
On July 30 last year, the Minist of the Ashwini Vaishnaw Union Railway told Rajya Sabha, the new line between Bargarh Road and Nawapara Road via Padamp, was completed in 2018-19.
This project is operated irreviably, thus, it cannot be displayed, reading replies.
However, Oridl has identified projects for development.
The Odisha government has given their approval to bear land costs.
The minister had told the upper house that the proposal was taken to be examined.
“At present, there is no train connectivity to the Temple of Nrusinghanath.
If this project looks at the light that day, it can cover the tourist spot when connecting Bargarh to Nuabada.
After train communication is launched, this place will get more tourists and worshipers,” said a local .
People from Bargarh can save more than two hours if they travel to Raipur through Nubada.
They can save time when traveling to Bhubaneswar too.
Some places like bawbepur, atxxic, gaicilets and paikmal will also get train connectivity.
