Hazaribag: The mass of around 500 led by Barkatha Mla Amit Yadav on Wednesday blocked Peto Chowk at the NH-100 between Hazaribag and Bagodar for hours to protest the alleged murder of a Barmakka young man on December 8 on December 8.
They also demanded the capture of Quasim Mian from the same village from the deceased’s body, Sunil Thakur, found.
Hazaribag SP Manoj Ratan Chothey said, “A tractor returned to Peto Chowk who brought straw when a car carrying six people about the tractor on December 7th night.
Thakur tried to save the tractor driver but around 15 people attacked Sunil and others.
To protect themselves , Thakur and others ran.
While the rest returned home, Thakur was found dead in a Quasim well.
“The protesters on Thursday broke the Quasim house boundary wall and set a portion of the burning world.
SP said Sunil’s relatives submitted FIR on Thursday against Quasim and five others.
“Efforts are to arrest the perpetrators,” SP said.
