However, more than 100 (106) is included in oxygen support.
While the overall city bed has risen to almost 17%, almost a quarter of 2,636 ICU beds are now taken.
The biggest slum cluster in the city, Dharavi, reported 107 cases, the highest number of days since the start of Pandemi.
Civil officials said that considering the daily growth rate increased by 31.7% in 24 hours – Mumbai could see more than twice the 20,000 cases in the day in the next few days.
“Our highest daily projection is 20,000 that we have achieved quickly.
There is a possibility that we can double the number, given that the case increased by 30-40%,” said Suresh Kakani, commissioner of the additional BMC Municipal.
