Mumbai: A total of 1,170 people were hospitalized on Thursday in Mumbai, which was a marginal decline of 1,218 hospitalization Wednesday.
However, more than 100 (106) is included in oxygen support.
While the overall city bed has risen to almost 17%, almost a quarter of 2,636 ICU beds are now taken.
The biggest slum cluster in the city, Dharavi, reported 107 cases, the highest number of days since the start of Pandemi.
Civil officials said that considering the daily growth rate increased by 31.7% in 24 hours – Mumbai could see more than twice the 20,000 cases in the day in the next few days.
“Our highest daily projection is 20,000 that we have achieved quickly.
There is a possibility that we can double the number, given that the case increased by 30-40%,” said Suresh Kakani, commissioner of the additional BMC Municipal.
The city active case reaches 79,260, and the possibility of Mumbai will violate the high active case of 91,100 – seen during the second wave peak – in the next 24 hours.
Kakani said that despite the vegetables, the corporation had not reached a panic button because the infected was mostly without symptoms.
On Thursday, 85% of new cases have no symptoms.
“From new cases, only 5% need an entrance ticket,” he said, adding that almost 35,000 beds were available.
About the crisis of ICU beds in the private sector, he said, “Beds are available, but people may not get rooms like them like one or deluxe.
Our request is focused on treatment than anyway”.
Even when Chalks State Out Curbs to reduce transmission, Health Minister Rajesh Tope clarified that there were no plans to turn off the Mumbai local train.
Also, there are no plans for locking in all states or districts.
However, he said the night curfew and weekend curvacts were discussed at review with the head of NCP Sharad Pawar, but the final decision would be taken by CM Uddhav Thackeray.
Limiting the Train Commuters category and reducing the presence in the office and shop timings and restaurants are some of the sidewalks being discussed.
The decision is expected before the weekend.
State officials also maintained that despite increasing cases, there was no significant leap in the use of oxygen.
Comparing the severity of the waves, Dr.
Pradeep kicked, the State Supervisory Officer, said that around 11% of patients were in oxygen and ventilators when the country had 85,144 active cases during the second wave.
In comparison, 4% are on oxygen and living support when the active case passes 87,505 on Wednesday.
Nearly 84% of cases are detected from Mumbai’s metropolitan region.
Kalyan-dombivli on Thursday reported more than 1,000 (1,172) Covid-19 cases in a day, taking the cumulative calculation with 1.47,521.
The silver layer is that no death was reported.
Thane and Navi Mumbai each reported 2,180 and 2,297 cases.
