Zhangjiakou (China): Norwegian Marius Lindvik gave birth to a second leap of 151.3-comma to win the gold medal at the Jumping Ski Bukit Big High-quality Olympic man on Saturday, denying Ryoyu Kobayashi Golden Double.
Kobayashi, fresh from winning a normal hill title last weekend, set the standard again in the first round with a leap 142 meters for 147 points.
Lindvik, who led the way in a Friday qualifying session, also continued the hot lines of the form that took him three World Cup wins in January, posted 144.8 points to sit in second place.
Norway then conveyed superlative final efforts to reach counting 296.1 and even though Kobayashi produced the best round leap, he fell short at 292.8.
The German World Cup leader Karl Geiger, the 15th disappointing on the normal hill, sat in sixth place, more than 10 points from steps in the middle, but his 144.6 effort made him a bronze medal.
Kamil Stoch Polish, rediscovered his best form after an ankle injury interrupted his offer for the third consecutive gold in the event, ended fourth.
