Bengaluru: Bescom (Bengaluru Electric Supply Company) conveyed a representation of the Karnataka (KC) electricity regulation commission to find a reas level increase of Rs 1.58 per unit for 2022.
This step occurred when Bescom had drawn from Bengalure interference.
Bescom has confirmed the proposed increase pointing to collapsed distribution infrastructure, underground cable installation work, the need for increased efficiency with respect to maintenance, changing the pattern of power consumption due to work from home and industrial closure after a pandemic.
