Jerusalem: Benjamin Netanyahu and his family emptied the official residence of the Prime Minister of Israel was earlier on Sunday, almost a month after the old leader was overthrown from the office with an alternative government formation.
A family spokesman confirmed Netanyahus to leave the residence at Balfour Street in Jerusalem shortly after midnight, in line with the deadline which was agreed last month with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett who was just inaugurated.
Balfour residence has become a symbol of the Netanyah scandal, and weekly protest scenes against Netanyahu for most years ago.
Demonstrators asked the minister at that time to resign when tried for corruption.
Netanyahu has denied mistakes and refused to retreat.
Netanyahu is the longest prime minister of Israel, after holding an office for the past 12 years and served in the 1990s, and has occupied the residence since 2009.
Bennett has not announced the date to move to his residence.
