Nagpur: When Covid-19 cases increases every day, doctors in the city also see many other virus fever patients, especially those that cause similar symptoms as in the case of infection by omicron variants, but still testing negatively on PCR patients coming from adults and pediatric age group.
Many of them underwent a RT-PCR test.
But after negatively detected for Covid-19, the doctor treats them for symptoms such as fever, cough and cold.
According to Dr.
Namita Bhandarkar who runs a small clinic in Narendra Nagar, the symptoms are almost the same – body pain, fever, throat infection and cold – but many patients test negative for Covid-19.
“Cough patients, cold and fever are in almost every home,” said Dr.
Bhandarkar.
The Peeliatricia people have brought in a sudden increase in virus fever among children.
“In the past two-three weeks, the case of fever among children has increased.
Of the 10 children tested, 4-5 positive tests for Covid.
This means the flu virus is also circulating and not all cases of fever in Covid,” said Dr.
Vijay Dhote, President of the Nagpur Chapter of Academy of Pediatrivers (AOP).
“This is more common type of virus fever and not always covid-19.
Weather change and temperature fluctuations are responsible for this.
We treat children simtomatically,” said the senior pediatrician Dr Avinash Gawande.
Senior pediatrician Dr.
Vasant Khalatkar holds that there is no harm in allowing children to play on reason.
“Open space is less risky than a closed or non-ventilated area.
So, wear a mask, follow the behavior that matches Covid and let the children have their normal life,” he said.
Dr.
Satish Kuthe’s general practitioners show that nearly 10,000 tests are carried out every day in the city for the past three days, with almost 3,000 positive returns.
“This means, at least 7,000 people have symptoms of viral fever that is not Covid-19,” he said and added that people are more aware of today and visit a doctor as soon as they get symptoms, “which is a good sign”.
Dr.
Nitin Shinde’s infectious disease said that this could be an indicator that the city moved towards the top of Covid-19 in the next few days.
“We have entered the 4 week of Covid waves.
We are sitting at the top, but hospitalized.
Many patients received have incidental covid and not sick because of that,” he said.
What is suggested by Covid test experts is advised for adults only if they have symptoms – only come into contact with Covid Positive patients there is no basis for testing – people who are vaccinated mostly safe from severe covid disease
