Palanpur: Hundreds of farmers from at least 15 Bhiloda Taluka villages in Aravalli Regency against land acquisition under the bullet train project in their village.
The National Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) official has started a land survey for land acquisition in Bhiloda Taluka.
The survey was conducted using drones for the past two days which farmers were opposed when they were afraid of losing their land and houses planted.
Harshad Varsat from Waghpur Village about 25 km from Bhiloda Town said that at least 60 farmers from villagers would lose their land in his village.
“Overall, 730 hectares of land 15 villages are likely to be obtained for bullet trains.
According to the survey, I tend to lose part of my farm and home,” Varsat said.
He along with other farmers submitted a memorandum to the district collector on Monday.
They demanded that the route route be changed because they will lose their valuable land.
Bhiloda MLA Dr.
Anil Joshiara has also extended support to farmers who protested.
