Biden needs a covid vaccine for nursing home staff

President Joe Biden on Wednesday announced that his government would require staff nursing homes to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition for the facility to continue to receive federal Medicaid funds.
Biden launched a new policy Wednesday afternoon at the address of the White House because the administration continued to look for ways to use the mandate to drive vaccine shelter to get shots.
“If you visit, stay or work in a nursing home, you may not be at high risk to contract Covid from employees who are not vaccinated,” said Biden.
The new mandate, in the form of regulations that will come to be issued by Medicare & Medicaid service centers can apply as fast as next month.
Hundreds of thousands of homeworkers were not vaccinated, according to federal data, even though the facility was wearing a brunt from the initial outbreak of Covid-19 and their workers became the first in the country qualified for shots.
Appeared when Biden’s administration tried to raise costs for those who have not been vaccinated, after months of incentives and prizes proved to be sufficient to push tens of millions of Americans to roll their sleeves.
Only in the last three weeks, Biden has forced millions of federal workers to prove their vaccination status or face new requirements, with more stringent requirements for federal workers in the health role of the forefront, and the government has moved towards the mandate of the vaccine for the military as soon as next month .
Biden also celebrates a business that has mandated a vaccine for their own workforce and encourages others to follow, and highlight the local vaccine mandate as a condition for daily activities, such as dining in the room.
This new effort seems to pay off, because the level of the nation’s new vaccination almost doubled over the past month.
More than 200 million Americans have now received at least one dose of vaccines, according to the White House, but around 80 million Americans meet the requirements but have not been vaccinated.
Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, praised Biden’s decision, but asked him to go further.
“Vaccination mandates for health care personnel must be applied to all health care settings,” he said.
“Without this, nursing homes face the challenges of disaster labor.” Last year CMS uses similar regulatory authorities to ban most visitors from nursing homes in an effort to protect residents.
