Biden to attend warning services Respect US law enforcement officers

WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will attend a warning service on Saturday at the United States Capitol to honor law enforcement officers who lost their lives in a row of tasks in 2019 and 2020.
The White House has also issued a ban on a flag proclamation to be flown half Staff at public buildings on Saturday.
The commemoration service of national peace officers began in 1982 as a small meeting in the Washington Senate Park around 120 survivors and supporters of law enforcement.
Since then it has changed to a series of events, withdrawing thousands of victims and officers to the capital city every year.
Biden has become a faithful ally of law enforcement, comes from his days in the Senate when he made a 1994 crime bill with their help.
Earlier this year, the President visited Capitol in honor of respect to Brian Sicknick, a police officer who died of several strokes after being sprayed with chemicals during January 6.
However, the president’s efforts to pass the police reform account to tighten practices after the murder of 2020 George Floyd in Minneapolis failed in September.
It marked a setback for the Democratic president who campaigned about the need for police reform.
Since then, Biden has expressed hope that he can still sign comprehensive police reform into law, and demonstrated in a statement when Democrats must do it themselves.
Biden also said he would see further executive actions he could take to help establish officers to break the law.
