Patna: The country witnessed another sharp increase in the number of Covid-19 cases on Wednesday with 77 people who tested the positive virus in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases in the country has passed 200-mark.
In accordance with the data issued by the Ministry of Health, the active case in the country was established in 215 on Wednesday.
The maximum new case was reported in the style at which 29 people were tested positive for the virus on Wednesday, followed by 26 on Patna.
While two districts registered 55 of 77 cases, 24 districts did not record new cases.
On Tuesday it has also recorded the maximum Covid cases in the state at 17.
“A large number of people visit Patna and Style from outside the state.
It can be one reason for a surge in Covid cases in these places,” an official said health.
The style of DM Abhishek Singh said that on 29 people who had been tested positively on Wednesday, 14 were contacts from those who had tested positive the day before.
“At least 20 people in the style have shifted to the centers of isolation in a week after testing positive at the train station.
Everyone who goes down at the style train station, especially those from New Delhi, Maharashtra and other states, tested,” Add Singh.
He said three main detention zones and 12 micro detention zones have been created in this district.
The detention zone has been made in the city of Style, Wazirganj, Sherbhati and Barayya.
Apart from Patna and style, four positive cases were recorded at Jehanabad and three each in Nalanda and Samastipur.
Meanwhile, the 3.57 lakh covid vaccine dose was given throughout the state on Wednesday.
So far, more than 9.81 crore vaccine doses have been given in the state.
A recent sharp increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Bihar amid omicron threats has been worried about health experts in the state.
Even CM Nitish Kumar said on Tuesday that Covid’s third wave had begun in the state.
“This is an indication of the third wave of pandemic.
Every meeting with a large number of people should not be allowed for now,” said Nodal Inchrage for Covid-19 in AIims-Patna Dr.
Sanjeev Kumar.
He appreciated the state government’s decision to close the park and zoos from December 31 to January 2.
Dr.
Kumar said the government must also ensure that RT-PCR testing reports were given on time so that the patient did not face obstacles during rederization.
“We only have five patients in AIIMS-P a few days ago.
However, the number is now starting to rise,” Dr.
Kumar added.
